Other scholarships
Before you start preparing to apply for a scholarship, there are a few things to consider
Decide on the type of the scholarship
Calculating your budget
It is necessary to provide a budget for education abroad, because getting a scholarship is not guaranteed, or the scholarship may cover only part of the costs. The cost of studying in the USA starts from 18000$ per year. In addition to tuition, it is necessary to take into account such costs as:
cost of living: from 5000$ per year;
meals: from 2000$ per year;
insurance: from $1800 per year;
textbooks and fees for the use of the university infrastructure: depends on the institution and the course;
flights: according to airline rates;
visa and SEVIS fees: $535.
Students are eligible to work a maximum of 20 hours per week on their study F1 Visa. First-year undergraduate students are only allowed to work on the university campus.
It is important to consider all of these factors when planning your budget for studying in the United States.
We are here to provide you with detailed cost information and help you make informed decisions. Our team of experts based in the US will guide you every step of the way and ensure your successful enrollment.
Evaluate your accomplishments
Assessing your chances and applying for a grant is the collaborative result of our experts and the applicant. We will help you meet the high requirements and develop your unique personal brand that will set you apart from other applicants.
The profile of the average applicant who receives any percentage of a grant from a US university is typically as follows:
has studied an advanced academic program at high school;
has a high academic rating in the class and was in the top 5% of the entire graduating class;
participated in Olympiads in subjects from the field of the chosen specialty;
has achievements in international sports, creativity, volunteering and social activities;
high GPA;
the level of English language is C1 or higher;
average SAT score of 1500 out of 1600 (or ACT 27-32) or higher;
has a strong personal brand that reflects leadership skills, service to the community, and other socially relevant characteristics.
If your English language skills are insufficient for admission, we can help you enroll in International Year 1, a one-year program integrated into the first year of your bachelor's degree. This way you don't lose a year of preparation time.
