The first step in planning to study in Italy is to understand that you need to meet the high requirements of universities to enter a public university. Admission requirements for studying in English at a university in Italy: High GPA. - English level not lower than B1/B2. - Some universities require results of national and international exams SAT/ACT, IMAT or TOLC. FAQ: studying in Italy

For applicants from the CIS countries, after completing 11 grades of school, in Italy there is an opportunity to enroll in a one-year preparatory course (Foundation). The cost of tuition for this course is about EUR 5,000 per year, excluding accommodation.

After completing the first year of university in the CIS countries, if the programs are suitable, you can immediately enroll in the first year of Italian state universities, the cost of tuition in which will be about 1,500-3,500 EUR + local tax.

Teaching at Italian universities is most often conducted in Italian, but programs in English and programs with instruction in two languages ​​are also available.
The Foundation program can also be taught either entirely in English (Universities of Pisa and Ca’ Foscari University of Venice) or in a mixed format: an intensive Italian language course (through English) and the study of subjects in Italian.
GLOSS Education Agency offers support for admission to any Foundation programs and admission to Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in English.

Admission to universities may involve additional costs: payment for IELTS/TOEFL language exams or TOLC/IMAT subject exams, registration fees (from 0 to 300 EUR at each university).

Depending on the program of study, universities open the application process in November-December, i.e. a year before the start of the program. Some universities accept documents only until January, while others finish accepting applications in April-May. In order not to miss deadlines and have time to prepare all the necessary documents, including passing the required exams, we recommend that you take care of admission issues no later than the summer a year before the start of the program.

In Italy, students are only allowed to work up to 20 hours a week; during the holidays, full-time work is allowed – 40 hours.

The Foundation program in Italy lasts 1 year, the Bachelor’s degree lasts 3 years, and the Master’s degree at a state university lasts 2 years.
